NL Assist is a home-based business. The registered address is a private residential address and is therefore not published on this website. It is available to authorities and, where legally required, on request.

5. Personal Data We May Process
Depending on the requested service, we may process:

9. DigiD
NL Assist never requests, stores or retains:
- DigiD usernames;
- DigiD passwords;
- SMS verification codes;
- authentication codes.
Clients always log in to DigiD themselves using their own device while receiving administrative guidance where requested.
10. Service Providers Processing Data on Our Behalf
To operate this website and our administration, we use a small number of carefully selected, trusted third-party service providers acting on our behalf as processors. They may only use the data to provide their service to us.
The categories of providers we currently use are:
- a trusted third-party website hosting and application platform provider, for hosting this website and the request form;
- a trusted third-party database and backend platform provider, for securely storing website form submissions;
- a trusted third-party email delivery provider, for sending the notification email that results from the website request form;
- our own email provider, for regular correspondence with you;
- a trusted third-party website analytics provider, used only after you have consented to analytics cookies.

11. International Transfers

- Invoices and accounting records: retained for 7 years, in accordance with Dutch tax legislation;
- general enquiries that do not lead to a service: up to 12 months;
- tax documentation: only as long as legally required for the relevant tax years;
- inactive client records: only as long as necessary for legal obligations and dispute resolution;
- website request form submissions: up to 12 months, unless they become part of a client file.
When documents are no longer required, they are securely deleted or securely destroyed.
15. Retention for Evidence Purposes
Communications and submitted documents may be retained where reasonably necessary to comply with legal obligations, to defend legal claims or to resolve disputes and complaints.
Such data is kept separate where practicable, is used only for that purpose, and is deleted once it is no longer needed. This always takes place in accordance with the GDPR.
